株式会社まちづくり山上は、伝統的な箒作りの技術を現代に残し伝えていくために2003年に設立した企業です。神奈川県愛甲郡愛川町中津に伝えられてきた箒を中津箒と名付け、箒の製造・販売、作り手の育成、ミニ箒作り体験ワークショップなどを行っています。 

中津箒の原料であるホウキモロコシは農薬不使用で自社生産し、製造工程はすべて作り手（職人）による手作業で行います。箒の穂先は素材の柔らかさを活かすために一本ずつ丁寧に揃えて使用しています。穂先にコシがあり、折れにくいのが中津箒の特徴です。使い込むほどに手に馴染み、畳やフローリングを傷つけることなく、チリやホコリをやさしくかき出します。   

Machizukuri Yamajo Inc. was established in 2003 to pass on the traditional broom making techniques and culture to future generations.We have named the broom inherited in Nakatsu, Aikawa Town, Aiko County, Kanagawa Prefecture, the Nakatsu Broom, and are engaged in the manufacture and sale of brooms, training of craftsmen, and broom making workshops. 

The raw material of nakatsu-houki, broom corn, is produced in-house without agrochemicals, and the manufacturing process is all done manually by craftsmen. The tips of the brooms are carefully aligned one by one in order to make the most of the softness of the material.　It is characterized by its elasticity and resistance to breakage.

国内や世界各地の箒を集めた箒博物館「市民蔵常右衛門」の運営もしています。
